What House of Mercy is

House of Mercy is a church in Asheville—though it may not feel like what you expect.
We gather on Sundays for a simple, thoughtful service centered around honest faith, real questions, and a shared search for meaning.

It’s not about having everything figured out.
It’s about showing up as you are and being part of something that’s still unfolding.

What to expect on a Sunday

We gather Sundays at 10:30am.
The service is usually about an hour and includes music, a teaching, and space to reflect.

Chad’s teaching often explores questions around faith, doubt, justice, and what it means to live meaningfully in the world.
You won’t be asked to believe anything in particular, and you don’t need to know what to do—you can just come and be.

There’s no dress code. Come as you are.

Who House of Mercy is for

This tends to be a place for people who:

  • have questions about faith

  • have felt disconnected from church

  • are looking for something more honest or grounded

  • aren’t sure what they believe, but aren’t ready to walk away entirely

You don’t have to fit into any category to belong here—but if any of that resonates, you’re not alone.

What we believe

We’re less interested in having all the answers, and more interested in creating space for real faith to take shape—through conversation, reflection, and community.
